Quick answer: Ten agencies here do checkable healthcare work in Malaysia. Kode Digital and Xedea have named hospital and specialist clients. Walk Production and Mediconnexions sit at the device and medical communications end. MYSense, Axcel Digital and Cleverly MY work with clinics on search and paid media. ChamRun covers medical travel. Before shortlisting any of them, understand what separates healthcare marketing here: most advertising of medical skills and services needs prior approval from the Medicine Advertisements Board, your website counts as an advertisement, and patient testimonials about treatment are not allowed even when the patient offers one. An agency that does not know that will cost you more than it earns you.
We rebuilt this list in September 2026, checking every agency on its own site plus a second source. Three from the earlier version were dropped. This is general information, not legal advice: for a compliance decision, ask the Medicine Advertisements Board or a Malaysian lawyer.
How we built this list
We checked each agency on 20 September 2026 against four tests: a legal entity name, SSM number, street address and Malaysian phone; whether that address is a leased office, a shophouse or a serviced office package; whether the healthcare work is evidenced by a named client rather than one word in a list of thirty industries; and whether founding years, team sizes and awards hold up on LinkedIn, Clutch and company records.
Three agencies on the previous version were removed. One was a London agency whose Kuala Lumpur presence was a location landing page. One was a Singapore agency with a 2023 Malaysian registration at a serviced office where a virtual address costs about RM100 a month, whose case study page still reads “TBA”. One had no verifiable legal entity behind a claim of 250 plus clients.

1. MediaPlus Digital
Founded 2013, headquartered in Miri, Sarawak, with offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and China. Google Partner, 1,000 plus web and mobile projects delivered.
Healthcare clients arrive with one of two problems: patients cannot find them, or patients find them and book elsewhere. For the first, our SEO services and local SEO cover the technical base, catchment terms and the Google Business Profile that decides the map pack. For the second, our web design team builds booking paths that work on a phone and our performance marketing team ties Google Ads and social advertising to calls. Approval sits in the timeline rather than being discovered late.
Best suited to: clinics and groups wanting one team across search, local, paid and web, with a free RM300 audit to start.
2. Kode Digital
Kode Digital Sdn Bhd (202201015405) trades from George Town, Penang, with a second office at Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya. Its site dates the work to 2018 while the Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 2022, so read 2018 as the trading start.
It has the best named healthcare portfolio we found: Sunway Medical Penang, Strawberry and Champ Dental Care, RCSI and UCD Malaysia Campus and V Studio Optometry, plus unnamed work for a hair transplant specialist, an oncology clinic and a 24 hour Penang provider. Services run from social media and SEO through Google Ads, branding and video. Meta Business Partner, Most Versatile Social Media Agency 2024 at the APAC Insider awards.
Best suited to: Penang and the northern region, and anyone targeting medical travellers arriving there. Watch for: no published team size or pricing.
3. Walk Production
Walk Production is the trading name of WP Media Sdn Bhd (202001018459), at UOA Business Park in Shah Alam, founded 2018 by Evans Hu. It publishes its SSM number, which almost nobody here does, and states 40 in house specialists. LinkedIn puts it in the 11 to 50 band, so treat 40 as the upper end.
Its healthcare work sits at the corporate and device end: Edwards Lifesciences device brochures, Medivest healthcare waste management, Sutra Medi-Environ rebranding, SuperDNA genetic testing branding and Dr. K and Associates Clinic. Its healthcare page builds a compliance review step into the process, which is rare. Capability is branding, corporate websites, company profiles, patient education content and video.
Best suited to: device firms, diagnostics companies and hospital groups producing corporate and patient education material. Watch for: it is a brand and content studio, so paid media managed weekly is the wrong ask.
4. MYSense
MYSENSE SDN BHD (202001013714) operates from 129 Offices at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya, incorporated 10 June 2020. It runs a distinct medical marketing line alongside SEO, SEM, social, influencer and KOL campaigns, web development, TikTok and Xiaohongshu, covering aesthetics, medical centres, dental clinics and pharmaceuticals. Meta Business Partner, Malaysia Digital Association member, SOBA 2022 winner.
Client evidence is thinner than the positioning suggests. Eu Yan Sang appears in the logo wall and testimonials reference an unnamed clinic and dental practice, so ask for named case studies.
Best suited to: consumer facing clinics in aesthetics, dental and wellness wanting social reach alongside search. Watch for: influencer work is where the endorsement rules bite hardest. Agree the brief against section 4.6 before anything is filmed.
5. Xedea (formerly Shock Media Studio)
Xedea rebranded from Shock Media Studio in 2024 and says so on its own About page, so if you search the old name and find different branding, that is why. It works from Nadayu28 Dagang in Bandar Sunway with around 20 named staff and a founding year of 2012 on Clutch.
Its Clutch profile lists Vista Eye Specialist among repeating clients, corroborating a claim of more than ten years with a Malaysian eye specialist group, the longest verifiable healthcare engagement here. Work is roughly half SEO, with PPC, social, web design and conversion behind it. Google Partner, minimum project size USD 5,000.
Best suited to: specialist groups and multi location practices wanting a long horizon SEO partner. Watch for: no healthcare client is named on its own site, only on Clutch.
6. Mediconnexions Consulting
Mediconnexions Consulting Sdn Bhd (201001022966) has been in medical communications since 2010, from Meritus Towers at Oasis Corporate Park, Ara Damansara. Its site is mediconnexionsconsulting.com, not mediconnexions.com, which is parked.
It is the only firm here that is a medical communications shop rather than a digital agency with a healthcare page. Services are medical writing and copywriting, creative, digital, and medical event and webinar organisation, with output in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, German and Vietnamese. It claims 15 years of practice and 40 plus healthcare and life sciences clients.
Best suited to: pharmaceutical companies, medical societies and anyone whose material has to survive scientific review. Watch for: no client named anywhere, only a logo wall.
7. ChamRun Interactive
ChamRun Interactive Sdn Bhd works from Tamarind Square in Cyberjaya, Selangor, with a Sydney office and a Jakarta presence. Two corrections to its own published details: it calls its Malaysian office “Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur” when Cyberjaya is in Selangor, and its old UK domain no longer belongs to it and now redirects to a gambling site. Treat it as Malaysia and Australia.
Its medical case studies are the richest here: CellMalaysia stem cell therapy, One Medic 24 hour clinics in Melaka including a clinic management system and pharmacy e-commerce, Cham Clinic, Health and Beyond and My Beauty Tourism, with Life Care Diagnostic and Beacon Hospital as medical travel partners. It also builds clinic management software.
Best suited to: providers chasing international patients, and clinic groups wanting marketing and operations software from one supplier. Watch for: ask which offices are staffed, and ignore any UK contact detail still on the site.
8. Axcel Digital
Axcel Digital ranks first in Malaysia for “healthcare digital marketing agency” and has served clients here since 2017 or 2018, depending which of its own sources you read. Two things to know: registration 002834237-X is an SSM business registration, not a Sdn Bhd, and both its Mont Kiara and Mid Valley addresses are serviced office centres. Neither is disqualifying. LinkedIn and Clutch put the team under ten.
The healthcare proof is specific: Peters Radiant Clinic, Your Physio, Pearl Smile Dental, Klinik Nur Raisha and Sliq Clinic, listed on its second domain axcel.digital rather than axceldigital.com. Verticals run from aesthetics and dental to physiotherapy and eye care. The mix is paid media first, plus local SEO and conversion. Minimum project size USD 5,000.
Best suited to: a single clinic wanting paid acquisition from a small team that only does healthcare. Watch for: under ten people means you are buying a person, not a bench.
9. Cleverly MY
Cleverly MY Sdn Bhd operates from a shoplot office at Taman Usahawan Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, and holds a Google Partner badge. It publishes neither a founding year nor a team size, the main weakness in its file.
What it does publish are two named clinic case studies with real clinical detail: Avant Orthopaedics, treating knee, shoulder, spine and neck conditions, and Sozo Wound and Stoma Care, a nurse led clinic. Services are medical SEO, local SEO and Business Profile work, healthcare content, Google Ads, landing pages, and generative engine optimisation for medical search, which matters as more health questions get answered inside AI summaries.
Best suited to: small specialist clinics wanting to be found for a condition rather than a category. Watch for: ask for the founding year, the team size and who would own your account.
10. ZenWeb Malaysia
ZenWeb’s Malaysian entity is PNH Malaysia Sdn Bhd (202301036848), registered 2023, at Pinnacle PJ Tower A in Petaling Jaya. The parent was founded in Japan in 2000. That is a real local office with a foreign parent, not a landing page, but know the shape before you call.
Its aesthetic clinic offer is the most granular we saw, with campaigns broken out by treatment: botox, fillers, HIFU, pico laser, laser hair removal, RF microneedling, thread lifts, PRP, chemical peels and melasma. It is a Google Partner, states Ministry of Health advertising compliance up front and publishes monthly pricing, all three rare here.
Best suited to: aesthetic and skin clinics wanting campaigns built per treatment. Watch for: no healthcare client is named anywhere, and claims of 500 plus clients are group wide across Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia.
How to choose, and what should worry you
Match the agency to your gap. Nobody finds you means SEO and Business Profile work. Found but not booking means the site and booking flow. Launching a treatment means paid media. A corporate or device brand means branding and collateral.
Five questions for the first call:
- Which of our materials will need MAB approval, and how long do you budget for it? If the answer does not mention 30 days for website format, keep looking.
- Show me a healthcare campaign you ran and the KKLIU number that went on it.
- How would you gather testimonials? The right answer separates premises from treatment.
- Who actually works on the account? Several agencies here are under ten people.
- What is in and out of the retainer? Ad spend, creative, translation and approval admin are the usual surprises.
Red flags, in the order we see them: promising a number of patients, a medical outcome or a fixed ranking; proposing treatment testimonials or influencer content endorsing a procedure; proposing a comparison against a named competing hospital; a “healthcare” page with no named client even after you ask twice; a Malaysian phone number that turns out to be an overseas line; and no mention of the Medicine Advertisements Board anywhere in the proposal.

Frequently asked questions
Is healthcare advertising regulated in Malaysia?
Yes. It falls under the Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956 and the Medicine Advertisements Board Regulations 1976, with detail in the Board’s MAB 3/2023 guidelines. Section 108 of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 separately bans misleading advertising by private facilities.
What is a KKLIU number?
The approval reference the Medicine Advertisements Board issues, shown with an expiry date in the format “KKLIU xxxx/EXP 31.12.2025”. It must be displayed clearly on every approved advertisement, and the public can report material that lacks one through the Ministry’s complaints portal.
Does my clinic website need approval?
The Ministry treats information about healthcare services on the internet as advertising, and the guidelines include a section on websites. Published processing time for website format is 30 days including weekends and public holidays. Build that into any launch date and check your case with the Board.
Can we publish patient testimonials?
Only about the premises. Under MAB 3/2023 section 4.5, testimonials about cleanliness, staff friendliness and the environment are permitted, while those referring to treatment, diagnosis or a practitioner’s skill are not. Section 4.6 applies the same split to celebrity and influencer endorsement.
Can we run a promotion or a discount?
On services, yes. Since 5 July 2023 the guidelines allow packages, discounts and price reductions, with worked examples such as bundling an ultrasound and a mammogram. Free offers and gifts are not. Dental practices sit under the Malaysian Dental Council, which permits a fee schedule on the practice webpage but not packages, discounts or promotions.
What about before and after photographs?
Handle them carefully and take advice. The guidelines prohibit photographs of practitioners performing procedures on patients and photographs of excised tissue or diseased patients as posters on outside walls. The treatment testimonial rule limits what a patient may say alongside an image, and the Dental Council requires separate consent before patient recordings are used publicly. A before and after image tied to a treatment claim carries real risk.
Can an agency promise more patients or a number one ranking?
No responsible one will. Guaranteed patient numbers, medical outcomes and fixed rankings are all warning signs, and outcome claims can put your ability to advertise at risk.
How long before results appear?
Paid search can produce enquiries within days of approval, which is the real constraint. Local SEO usually moves the map pack in two to four months. Organic rankings for condition terms take six months or more, longer in Klang Valley. Our healthcare marketing guide sets out the sequence and our healthcare website guide covers what the site must do first.
The bottom line
Malaysia has more than 200 licensed private hospitals and several thousand registered private clinics, so the competition for a patient in your catchment is local and close. Any agency above can help you win it. The filter that matters more than any ranking is whether they can talk fluently about what the Medicine Advertisements Board will and will not approve. One that cannot will build you a campaign that has to be rebuilt.
If you want search, local, paid media and the website handled together, with approval part of the plan rather than a surprise, request a quote or read our SEO services and performance marketing pages. New enquiries can claim a free RM300 audit. For dental practices, start with our dental website design guide.
